Whether you have visited Calpe before or it's your first time, this city will not fail to surprise you

CULTURAL & NATURAL WEALTH (The Calpe Lifestyle)

Calpe combines Alicante´s cosmopolitan air, languages and peoples, with the Spanish identity and charm. Thanks to this, Calpe is a welcoming place to visit, no matter where one comes from.

One of the main attributes of Calpe is the mix of urban environment and natural wealth. The Rock of Ifach, one of Calpe's outstanding features is a valued natural reserve of flora and fauna located right in the city centre! A beautiful setting with paths and roads accessible to all.

Along with the yacht club and marina, it is also the epicentre of nautical activities and sports, especially during the summer, offering great climbing, hiking, scuba diving, sailing, jet skiing and paragliding among many other pursuits. If you are a nature lover, you'll also enjoy a visit to the Salt Lakes, home to numerous species of birds.

The more than 5 km of beaches and coves that ribbon Calpe's coast cater for all tastes: sandy beaches, hidden, paradisiacal coves and almost untouched beach rock beaches. Among the most popular are the beach of La Fossa and El Arenal (where we are!) the two urban beaches, separated by the stunning view of the Rock of Ifach.

WINTER AND SUMMER

Anyone who thinks that Calpe is a seaside resort is right, but that's not all it is. It also boasts of being one of the liveliest cities throughout the year because so many visitors have decided to make Calpe their home and moved here. So much so that in 2015 the census revealed that more than 60% of its 21,500 inhabitants were of foreign nationality. And it shows! Thanks to this rich cultural diversity, Calpe is a polyglot city where you will find multi-cultural services and establishments available throughout the year. Restaurants of all cuisines, international supermarkets, services in multiple languages and much more. One of the main advantages of Calpe is that it is suitable for all kinds of people and has the perfect offering for each visitor or resident. Safe, golden beaches and activities for families; international restaurants and shops of all kinds for foodies; extreme sports for the adventurous, and dream routes for nature lovers. Not forgetting a very wide range of services and amenities close at hand.

AROUND CALPE BEACH

Calpe Beach is in a prime location: Just 200 meters from Arenal beach, one of the most popular due to its size, landscape and services. During the summer, this beach has lifeguard posts, activities, platforms with slides and a variety of entertainment. In winter, it is a beautiful setting for walks and cafes by the sea.

The complex is situated on a street off Gabriel Miró Avenue, the popular shopping street of Calpe where you will find absolutely everything you need, from supermarkets to a Belgian chocolate shop. A few meters from Calpe Beach will bring you to the Plaza Mayor, a monumental Greek-style square surrounded by cafes, restaurants and shops. And if you are in the mood for culture, you can walk a few blocks up and visit the historic town of Calpe, next to Plaza de Constitución.
